In the first half of the school year, kindergarten students at Mesa Christian Academy focus on learning how to read and beginning math, working together to learn phonics sounds through songs, stories, and activities. By Christmas time, most students are able to read independently. In the second half of the year, as their reading improves, students start to incorporate English, Science, and Social Studies into their learning. Kindergarten students also have the opportunity to participate in various activities such as PE, Art, General Music, and Chapel services, and benefit from a full-day program with small class sizes (9 or less students per class).
